To inspire patriotism and good citizenship through patriotic observances, patriotic and civic instruction in schools, youth activities such as Boy State, Scouts, Oratorical Contest, School Award Medals, Legion Baseball, Flag Etiquette, and other similar community services.

Our Profile: The American Legion Department of Washington is part of the worlds largest volunteer organization The American Legion. Over 40,000 members in the State of Washington and part of almost 3,000,000 members Nationally, we seek to straighten the fabric of The American way of life with our Americanism programs. These Americanism Programs are directed at the education of American Youth in a friendly sometimes competitive manor, seeking always to instill the values of the American way of life.

More Information: The American Legion Department (State) of Washington is split into the Eastside and Westside, 4 Areas, 12 Districts and local Posts.
